The celebration reaches an exciting peak on Friday, February 5, Chinese New Year Day with a lion dance performance by the Lung Kong Physical Culture Club at 5 p.m. After weaving their way through The Royal Grove, the lions will dance through the Center and make stops at every participating Royal Hawaiian Center store and restaurant. Illuminated Chinese Dragon Display-A legendary creature in Chinese mythology and folklore, the dragon is a traditional symbol of power, strength, and good luck. The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace is once again sharing this fabled creature in a big way by welcoming a 22-ft. long, 6-ft. wide and 12-ft. high dragon to the world-renowned retail destination. Perfectly situated on the Fortuna Terrace near the interior entrance to The Forum Shops from Caesars Palace casino, the massive 950-lb steel-framed dragon is covered in 30,000 red and amber LED lights, many of which flicker, giving the mythical beast a vibrant look and dynamic feel. The dazzling dragon sits upon a lush red carpet surrounded by hand-painted wood pillars, gold fencing and red velvet ropes. The impressive display was custom created exclusively for The Forum Shops and will be on display throughout February 2019.

For the 23rd consecutive year, The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace will welcome students from the Meadows School, who will perform the traditional dragon parade throughout The Forum Shops at Caesars on the first day of Chinese New Year, Tuesday, Feb. 5 beginning at 9 a.m. The cast of singers and dancers includes 120 Meadows students – 60 from kindergarten and 60 from fifth grade.

On Friday and Saturday, Feb 8-9, The Forum Shops will offer Mandarin-speaking greeters and Roman Centurions who will distribute a distinctive brochure featuring special offers in honor of Chinese New Year from a variety of retailers at The Forum Shops. MADISON AVENUE, NEW YORK CITY- Madison Avenue is celebrating the Lunar New Year with a centuries-old tradition by installing a “wishing tree” on Madison Avenue between East 62 and East 63 Streets. Since ancient times, hanging wishes on “wishing trees” for the New Year is synonymous with luck and good fortune, and is believed to encourage dreams to come true. And they will come true on Madison Avenue!

From February 9-16, the public is invited to place a ribbon with their wish on a branch to receive the traditional red envelope containing a gift certificate from a participating Madison Avenue retailer in the Madison Avenue Business District between 57th and 86th Streets. Participating retailers include Atelier Cologne, Molton Brown, Montblanc, NARS Cosmetics, Paul Morelli, Tory Burch, Vilebrequin, Wolford and many others.

The Wishing Tree on Madison will be created on an existing tree selected for the honor. It will be the central theme for the 4th Annual Madison Street on Madison Avenue Lunar New Year event on Saturday, February 9 to kick off the celebration. This event is a collaborative effort with the Chinatown Partnership (home of Madison Street) and the East Midtown and Grand Central Partnerships.

RIVER OAKS DISTRICT HOUSTON- River Oaks District will ring in the Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday, February 2nd beginning at 12 pm with traditional lion dancing, tea, and gifts for guests. A special performance by Soaring Phoenix Con Rông ChÁu Tiên Dragon & Lion Dance Association will serve as the start to the celebration, beginning at Le Colonial and making a stop at Tom Ford before concluding with a confetti-filled finale in the courtyard of Toulouse. The dancing lions will climb five-foot platforms to end their dance performance and will remain for a few minutes after the finale to take photos with the crowd.

Beginning at 10 am, the first 250 people to visit concierge (between Cartier and Hermès) will receive traditional lucky money red envelopes containing $2 bills – a traditional way to share good blessings for the New Year.
